How we calculate this
For every fabric SKU, we run the official French Ecobalyse calculator (per decree n° 2025-957) twice with the same composition and weight: once as virgin-fibre production, once reflecting our deadstock/upcycled status. The difference is what we report as "avoided" per metre — a measurement against a named, official baseline, not a marketing estimate.
Transport from supplier to our warehouse is a separate measurement, using ADEME Base Carbone coefficients applied to real transport invoices (weight × distance × emission factor). We never blend it into the production figure as one number — the two use different methodologies and are always shown separately, on this page and on each product page.
What this doesn't cover — on purpose, not by accident
About 15% of our catalogue, by SKU, uses materials (mainly silk-dominant blends, and a handful of rarer fibres) the official Ecobalyse methodology doesn't yet model. We say so directly on those product pages rather than guessing a number or hiding the section.
Transport figures carry a stated uncertainty of ±60–70% (per ADEME's own published Base Carbone data) — we round to at most two significant figures and flag confidence as high / medium / low depending on how directly we can trace a shipment back to its supplier.
We do not claim to be "carbon neutral" or make any offsetting claim. Full life-cycle net-zero certification (ISO 14067, annual audit, published methodology) is a separate, much heavier process we haven't undertaken. Everything above is a specific, sourced measurement against a named baseline — not an offset.

Uptrade – Circular Sourcing Platform
A dedicated platform rescuing dormant fabric stock to enable circular sourcing.
Uptrade is a B2B digital platform revalorizing deadstock fabrics across Europe.
Since 2019, Uptrade has rescued over 150,000 meters of fabric, saved 4.5 million liters of water, and prevented 123 tons of CO₂ emissions, advancing the circular fashion economy.
