Modacrylic Fabrics

Modacrylic is a modified polyacrylonitrile fiber. It is light, softer than acrylic, holds shape well, and resists stretch. Heat-resistant and self-extinguishing, it absorbs little moisture and dries fast. Filaments look smooth and often shiny. Typical uses include faux fur, wool-like fabrics, and protective apparel, where abrasion and color-fade resistance are required.
