Sewing Notes That Help When Working with Chiffon Fabric

Cut a single layer with a rotary cutter. Use a fresh Microtex 60/8 needle and fine thread. A strip of tissue under the seam keeps the cloth from slipping; pull it away after stitching. Stay-stitch curves, choose French seams, and finish with a baby hem. Press on low heat through a cloth—enough to set, not crush.
