Collection: Acrylic Fabrics

Acrylic is a synthetic fiber made from polyacrylonitrile (PAN). It has a smooth, even look; the fabric is light, warm, and durable. The hand is soft with a slight “plastic” feel and usually less prickly than wool. It absorbs little moisture and dries fast; under heat it melts into a hard bead. Common in knitwear and blends as a wool substitute.
